First year Drain Service Technicians can expect top pay, earning $55,000 on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience.

Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, and continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber’s license.

• Provide solutions to sewer and drain problems.
• Diagnose problems and provide cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.

• A valid driver’s license.
• Effective communication skills.
• A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary.
