. At North Sky Communications, LLC, as a Technician Fiber Installation, you’ll set up and maintain the fiber optic networks that help connect people. You’ll ensure everything runs smoothly, fix problems, and keep us connected without interruptions. This position requires at least 80% travel within Portland, OR & Seattle, WA and potentially Dallas, TX. The role comes with a company-provided per diem, hotel and travel arrangements, and a company vehicle.

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, set up and configure all equipment
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver’s license (not Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

• Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, work with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
