Navajo Preference Employment Act
In accordance with Navajo Nation and federal law, TCRHCC has implemented an Affirmative Action Plan pursuant to the Navajo Preference in Employment Act. Pursuant to this Plan and corresponding TCRHCC Policy, applicants who meet the necessary qualifications for this position and (1) are enrolled members of the Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, or San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe will be given preference in hiring and employment for this position, (2) are legally married to enrolled members of the Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, or San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe and meet residency requirements will be given secondary preference, and (3) are enrolled members of other federally-recognized American Indian Tribes will be given tertiary preference.
OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY
Provides General MRI and MRA procedures as needed to maintain optimal patient flow.
QualificationsNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Education: The incumbent must have successfully completed radiology training from an AMA approved school of Radiology or have completed an MRI specific education program that includes both didactic coursework and clinical training which meets the standards set by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
Certification:
- Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Must meet one of the following:
- Must have and maintain a current Arizona State License in Radiology and MRI and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiology RT(R).
- Must have and maintain a current certification through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
Experience:
Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in MRI procedures. Must have experience working with a PACS / RIS system, email and general computer programs.

- Successful completion of fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings indicating that the applicant is qualified to be employed by TCRHCC and demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
- Submission of all required employment-related documents, applications, resumes, references, and other required information free of false, misleading, or incomplete information, as determined by TCRHCC.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Capable of recognizing and interpreting diagnostic scans, identifying normal and/or pathological findings. Provides a preliminary impression to aid in interpretation of exam. Notifies appropriate physician(s) of significant findings on scan immediately that requires immediate intervention while patient is still being scanned.
