Navajo Preference Employment Act

PositionSummary
This position provides specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical services on an inpatient and outpatient basis in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, General and Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Urology, Optometry/Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Ear/Nose/Throat. The primary role is the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, responsible for operating radiologic X‑ray equipment and processing radiographic images.
Qualifications- Education
:
Completed radiology training from an AMA approved school of Radiology. - Experience
:
At least 3 years of experience in the radiology field and expertise in operating teleradiology and fax equipment. - License/Certification
:
Current valid Arizona State License in Radiology (R) and ARRT Certification in Radiology (R). Must maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Physical
:
Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs. Sensory requirements include vision and hearing. Requires manual dexterity and keyboard use.

Requires high concentration, flexibility, patience, decision making under pressure, managing stressful situations, and working alone or in shifts.
Environmental
:
Possible exposure to hazardous equipment, infectious diseases, chemical agents, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, and loud noises.
