As the OR RN, you’ll play a pivotal role in the surgical team. Your daily responsibilities include preparing the operating room for procedures, assisting during surgeries, maintaining sterile technique, selecting and handling instrumentation, counting and tracking supplies, and supporting anesthesia teams for patient safety. You’ll scrub in and circulate as needed, monitor patients’ status before, during, and after procedures, and communicate clearly with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless, efficient operations.
