Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg flexible day shift position in Arizona requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and acute care experience.

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg setting with a flexible day shift schedule
• Shift schedule is 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, typically three shifts per week and may alternate to four shifts every other week
• Patient population includes individuals of all ages with varying medical conditions
• Work is based in a rural location with limited housing options available through the facility
• Clinical duties cover nursing care procedures for diverse patient populations and require the ability to work independently
• Orientation is held every two weeks for new staff
• Limited shared housing options are available for $600 per month, with no family or pets allowed; housing application must be submitted two weeks prior to start
• COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted if declination forms are submitted
• The facility is located in a rural, culturally rich area serving diverse communities including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes
• Team includes a broad multidisciplinary group of medical, nursing, and support professionals

• Active and unrestricted AZ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute or sub-acute care facility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Fingerprinting required prior to start, completed during the compliance process
