Job Description & Performance Expectations
JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Manager will ensure the members receive the highest quality of service and facilities. They will exhibit an ability to achieve the financial targets for the club as outlined in the annual budget by motivating, leading, supervising, and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in servicing our member needs. They will demonstrate an aptitude and command of all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity of the Crunch brand.
The General Manager is a salaried exempt position.
HOURS
- Monday – Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Saturday or Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Hours can be changed and are dependent on the club's pacing to sales goals and community outreach events.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Sales & Revenue Management- Achieve communicated monthly sales goals, membership and personal sales goals
- Maintain a club conversion of 60% or higher
- Close two or more perks partners each month
- Organize and lead two or more community events monthly
- Daily past due account collections and calls
- Ensure ongoing prospecting and generation of new prospective members
- Ensure the team maintains proper tracking forms and daily leads
- Ensure all promotions are effectively communicated to the team and all other appropriate staff
- Ensure the staff has a high level of knowledge about the club's programs, facilities, and equipment
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and manage the team
- Achieve desired personal training revenue and session production goals
- Achieve desired revenue and production results through the leadership and motivation of employees
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and manage the personal training department
- Implement and support company programs and promotions to help generate new Personal Training client acquisition for optimum member base penetration
- Facilitate integration of Personal Training products into point of sale presentations to maximize the number of kickoff sessions scheduled
- Ensure the Personal Training team follows proper procedures
- Oversee the Fitness Director in ensuring all components of departmental objectives are satisfied
- Exhibit an understanding of budgets and income statements
- Establish controls of expenses and purchasing of club supplies
- Display an ability to keep expenses at or below budget
