Wood is recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our Onshore Projects business in Houston, TX. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will lead finance and accounting activities for the Onshore Projects division and manage a small team.#LI-Hybrid

The Role The Finance Lead will serve as the primary finance focal point for the Onshore Projects division, leading month-end close, project accounting, forecasting, margin analysis, revenue recognition, and financial reporting activities. The role will partner closely with Project Controls, Project Managers, business leadership, and auditors to ensure accurate financial information, appropriate project accounting, and effective financial controls.

Expected:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
· Professional qualification in Accounting (CA) required; CPA or CMA designation an asset
· Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with a proven track record in full-cycle accounting, ideally within an engineering consultancy or oil and gas project environment
· Experience working with ERP systems, including Oracle and EPM/FCC
· Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
· Strong understanding of project accounting principles, revenue recognition, cost accounting, and financial reporting
· Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet month-end reporting deadlines
