Co‑op, Substation Maintenance – Georgia Transmission
We’re looking for students to join our Georgia Transmission team as a Co‑op, Substation Maintenance intern for the 2026 Spring and Summer sessions.
Co‑op Requirements- Part of the school’s Co‑op/Intern Program
- Minimum 2.7 GPA
- Available to work 40 hours a week during the term (14 weeks in Spring, 12 weeks in Summer)
- No remote work, PTO, or work‑from‑home arrangement
- Submit an unofficial transcript and resume when applying
- Assist experienced area coordinators and equipment specialists with construction and maintenance of substation equipment
- Learn procedures for testing and commissioning of all major equipment associated with power delivery
- Perform work order management and use field tools to support maintenance tasks
- Maintain and repair transformers, breakers, switches, and related equipment
- Pass all GTC requirements for work on and around cyber assets
- Valid driver’s license to operate an assigned vehicle
- Working knowledge of personal computers
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs
