Our Client is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist for a long term, possible temp to hire opportunity. Candidate will oversee end-to-end controls across 75+ active, resource-loaded transmission line & substation capital projects in Primavera P6. You will drive baseline budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and utility Capital Program planning in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities- Independently build, track, and analyze 75+ cost- and resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedules for transmission line and substation projects.
- Conduct continuous cost/schedule variance analysis and implement proactive mitigation plans to resolve negative trends.
- Lead initial budget setup, rolling forecasts, and ongoing cost variance reporting for financial alignment.
- Feed critical cost and schedule data into macro-level annual Capital Program budget planning.
- Communicate risk profiles and status updates across matrixed teams and executive leadership; execute formal project close-outs to refine future baselines.
- 7+ years in Project Controls/Scheduling within Utility, Power Delivery, or Energy infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for cost and resource loading (Required).
- Direct experience in Electric Transmission Line & Substation capital projects with a proven track record managing portfolios of 75+ active schedules (Required).
- Strong background in capital budgeting, rolling forecasts, EVM, and cost variance analysis (Required).
- Ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed setup and communicate clearly with management (Required).
- B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field. PMI-SP, AACE (EVP/PSP), or PMP preferred. Large-scale utility program budgeting experience preferred...
