Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM (second shift)

Pay: $26.71+ per hour. Eligible for a 10% shift differential on second shift hours and a 15% shift differential on third shift hours. Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 for eligible external candidates. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education and certifications. Successful candidates may qualify for an annual performance bonus.

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists according to policies and procedures.
• Perform all duties/responsibilities of a Histotechnician I and II.
• Accession and label all tissue samples accurately.
• Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
• Ensure proper tissue processing and embed in paraffin.
• Perform microtomy of embedded tissue.
• Prepare slides for routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining.
• Cover‑slip stained slides manually or with automated equipment.
• Prepare solutions and reagents for special stain procedures.
• Obtain and validate tissue for special stains.
• Execute all special stain procedures.
• May prepare solutions and reagents for IHC procedures.
• May obtain and validate control material for IHC procedures.
• May perform IHC testing.
• File finished blocks and slides.
• Maintain and clean equipment, troubleshoot minor failures, and document remedial actions.
• Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and document all QC activities.
• Ensure all corporate safety, quality control, and quality assurance standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations.

• AA or AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
• 1–3 years experience as a Histotechnician.
• Special Requirements: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP).
