Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM (second shift)
Pay: $26.71+ per hour. Eligible for a 10% shift differential on second shift hours and a 15% shift differential on third shift hours. Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 for eligible external candidates. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education and certifications. Successful candidates may qualify for an annual performance bonus.

- Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists according to policies and procedures.
- Perform all duties/responsibilities of a Histotechnician I and II.
- Accession and label all tissue samples accurately.
- Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
- Ensure proper tissue processing and embed in paraffin.
- Perform microtomy of embedded tissue.
- Prepare slides for routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining.
- Cover‑slip stained slides manually or with automated equipment.
- Prepare solutions and reagents for special stain procedures.
- Obtain and validate tissue for special stains.
- Execute all special stain procedures.
- May prepare solutions and reagents for IHC procedures.
- May obtain and validate control material for IHC procedures.
- May perform IHC testing.
- File finished blocks and slides.
- Maintain and clean equipment, troubleshoot minor failures, and document remedial actions.
- Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and document all QC activities.
- Ensure all corporate safety, quality control, and quality assurance standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with local, federal, CLIA, and CAP regulations.
- AA or AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
- 1–3 years experience as a Histotechnician.
- Special Requirements: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP).
