Medical Assistant
Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Inform patients of costs for care being provided and guides them to appropriate resources for further information.
Type routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy. Answer telephones, screen callers, relay messages and greet visitors. Medical Assistants can work in multiple settings including doctor’s offices, hospital and/or outpatient clinic.
- High School education is required, some states also require the completion of a certificate program.
- Phlebotomy certification sometimes required

Crescent Centre, Gwinnett, and Panola. MAs should be flexible. Kaiser will make every effort to provide stability in staffing but may need to float them. Target - 1/5 start date or 1/19 start date.
