Stock and Material Handler - Fulltime - Alpharetta, Georgia

Job Summary

Manage incoming deliveries by verifying, unloading, and storing received items; ensure quality control by inspecting deliveries meticulously and processing necessary returns.

• Verify information on incoming deliveries against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and other records; note measurement details such as counts and weights.
• Unload deliveries from trucks and sign for receipt.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to resolve damages and shortages.
• Receive items into ERP system and apply correct barcode to items.
• Manually organize and route items to departments/stock cages.
• File and follow up on freight claims for damaged items and material.
• Execute cycle counts to different cells in warehouse on a bi‑monthly basis.
• Process returns to our vendors for credits.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Previous work in assembly manufacturing.
• Inventory software experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (comparable SAP/Oracle).

• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Must be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items; able to lift 50 pounds.
• Use of forklift and pallet jack.
• Flexibility to respond to a customer‑needs environment schedule.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent oral, written, communication, and organizational skills.
