Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Tucker, Georgia.

Hourly Pay: $30.50 per hour. Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter. Sign On Bonus: $1750 at 30 days and $1750 at 90 days.

Schedule:

Monday‑Saturday with one day during the week off.

Hours:

First Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification desirable.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines (routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics, AC & electrical systems).
• Three (3) years or more relevant work experience preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
• All other certifications required by location.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑ and medium‑duty equipment.
• Computer skills (PC, Windows).
• Will need to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision.
• Replace defective components as instructed.
• Work unsupervised on most tasks and perform facility maintenance duties.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Comply with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines.
• Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
• Access and use internal and external maintenance documents.
• Support operations and Service Island duties as required.
• Complete SBTIII training within 180 days and OEM online diagnostic scan tool courses as required.
