• Work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport of interest.
• Assist the Head Coach with game techniques and strategies to prepare for competition.
• Determine the need for individual or team improvement and accept directions from the Head Coach at all times.
• Assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment; maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques; maintain locker room and playing facilities.
• Serve as a Lay Coach; this is a temporary position that must be renewed annually.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.

• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required.
• Valid first aid certificate required.
