As a senior tax preparer at Uplinq, you will lead the preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and nonprofits. You'll work closely with leadership, mentor junior staff, and help improve tax processes. This role is great for a seasoned tax pro who enjoys a fast‑paced, collaborative startup environment.

• Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and nonprofits.
• Conduct tax research and planning to identify opportunities that minimize client tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement internal tax policies, quality control procedures, and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with bookkeeping and accounting teams to ensure alignment of financial data used in tax returns.
• Review financial records, income statements, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
• Review junior staff work and provide mentorship on complex tax matters.

• Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or related field;
  Master's in Tax preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in tax preparation and review.
• Proficient with tax software such as CCH Axcess, Drake, Lacerte, or Pro Series.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Quick Books Online.
• Solid bookkeeping and financial statement understanding.
