We’re currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Headquarters team!

The Staff Accountant will have a solid foundation in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to drive all aspects of the month end close process. In this position, you must be knowledgeable in accounting, while also enjoying data, handling reconciliations, figuring out problems and issues, hitting deadlines, and continuously seeking to improve processes and procedures. With Mister Car Wash’s recent addition to the New York Stock Exchange, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a company that works hard, cares, and has fun.

• Roll-up-your-sleeves as part of a small team handling all accounting transactions, inclusive of preparing journal entries, variance explanations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Utilize and seek to improve on accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify, design and implement process improvements
• Maintain adequate Internal controls (SOX)
• Identifies accounting problems and potential solution/resolution
• Maintain open lines of communication with various business partners

• 1+ years experience in accounting
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Knowledge and working experience with GAAP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
• Extremely organized, with keen attention-to-detail
• Advanced in Excel, Word, and other Windows based applications
• Working knowledge of Oracle is preferred
• Team player who can work effectively with other departments
