The James
E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona is seeking to hire an Assistant Registrar (Registration and Records Manager I). The incumbent will assist in managing all aspects of registrar services at the College, including student registration and record keeping, ensuring integrity and confidentiality of records, compliance with state and federal regulations, and reporting to stakeholders and state bars.
The role works under the Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and closely with deans, staff, and faculty to enforce academic policy. The College offers JD, LLM, SJD, MLS, MPS, and BA programs with residential, distance, global, and online students.

Duties & Responsibilities- Perform all Registrar services for students and faculty including schedule creation and maintenance, student registration, transcript processing, grade processing, transfer credit evaluation, graduation audits and conferral, processing student requests for information, preparing correspondence regarding the College, and planning and scheduling Registrar events.
- Manage compilation, recording, verification, and dissemination of all data related to student enrollment, curriculum, academic progress, and grades to constituencies within the University, state, and federal accreditation agencies.
- Supervisor responsibilities for University staff employees and student workers.
- Assist with all aspects of course registration: ensure accuracy of course schedules in UAccess and on the College website, monitor waitlists, troubleshoot registration issues, collaborate with other departments for cross-listed courses, process canceled or changed courses, assign classrooms, and respond to room change requests from instructors.
- Assist Academic Affairs team with preparation and administration of midterm and final exams: assist in administering finals, provide grade worksheets to faculty, and ensure accuracy of all grades before posting.
- Manage the course evaluation/TCE process: schedule evaluations, recruit and schedule proctors, process all course evaluations/TCE data for reporting to instructors, prepare reports for faculty ranking, and draft memo for the Associate Dean highlighting key data.
- Effective communication with diverse groups and individuals.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in an organized way.
- Ability to learn computer software and systems relevant to registrar services.
- Ability to compile and analyze data accurately.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- JD Degree.
- Experience with law school registrar services.
Rate of Pay: $59,404 - $74,254
