General Service Technician – E Tanque Verde – Sun Auto Tire & Service

Sun Auto Tire & Service is looking for a General Service Technician to handle non-technical automotive service repairs such as oil changes, tire services, and customer transportation. The role also includes vehicle inspections, part ordering, and keeping a clean shop environment.

• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
• Observes general vehicle condition and reports needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Manager or Store Manager, using the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, including service area, tire racks, showroom, and surrounding building.
• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors or the corporate office with the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle safely, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles following company and state guidelines.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to the Shop Manager or Store Manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current, valid driver’s license
• Minimum age 18 years
• General understanding of vehicle under-the-hood and under-carriage assemblies
• Availability Monday – Saturday

The General Service Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Temperature may vary from extreme heat to extreme cold.

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; require full range of motion with arms and hands
• Lift/invest up to 10 pounds regularly; lift 50 pounds frequently
• Hear and speak
• Vision sufficient for color, depth, and re-focus
