PurposeThe Product Manager’s primary responsibilities include managing the product line's lifecycle from inception and strategic planning to tactical activities that ensure growth and relevance in the marketplace. This role involves managing existing ideas and developing new ones based on industry insights and market research. The individual should be familiar with the software design and development process, enabling effective product roadmap management.
Responsibilities also include defining customer requirements and collaborating closely with the software development team to ensure these are met. The Product Manager should work independently, make significant decisions, and require minimal supervision.
- Identify market trends, maintain market definitions, contribute to market/pricing research, and synthesize competitive intelligence.
- Set, communicate, and monitor the product line strategic plan including vision, goals, initiatives, and roadmap. Contribute to the overall product family strategic plan.
- Maintain the product roadmap, prepare for releases, define epics and features, and collaborate with product development on requirements, workflows, and design.
- Maintain and refine business plans for existing products, including business models, offerings, pricing, and forecasts in partnership with sales and finance.
- Negotiate and manage business partnerships with third-party vendors related to your product line.
- Engage with clients to identify user and buyer personas, gather needs, prioritize features, and support sales efforts.
- Support sales with product training, demos, RFP responses, and feedback analysis.
- Collaborate with marketing on product positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies.
- Identify and communicate risks, and protect confidential information including trade secrets and health information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of laboratory operations and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years in software product management, including 3 years in food & beverage safety, or related experience supporting laboratory testing or healthcare services.
- MBA or Master’s in relevant fields.

Physical Requirements- Standard office work with minimal hazards, ability to lift up to 10 pounds, travel as needed.
