Heavy Civil Project Manager

Peterson Consulting Group is partnering with a highly respected Heavy Civil & Highway Contractor seeking a talented Project Manager to join their growing team. This firm is known for its strong people-first culture and its ability to successfully self-perform a wide range of heavy civil and highway scopes across both public and private sectors. • Competitive Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000 DOE
• Annual Bonus Program:
  Averaging ~10%

• 5+ years of experience in Heavy Highway or Civil Construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
• Strong background in self-performed heavy civil/highway construction
• Experience managing self-perform crews in earthwork, underground utilities, concrete structures, and/or paving
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Lead and manage the execution of heavy civil and highway construction projects.
• Oversee and support Superintendents and field management teams.
• Manage subcontractors and internal crews to ensure safety, schedule, and quality compliance.
• Take full responsibility for pre-construction, project setup, cost control, scheduling, submittals, change management, and overall project performance.
• Maintain accountability for profit & loss, forecasting, and project financial health.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and under budget.
