Experienced Finish Roller

• Operate finish roller to achieve proper compaction and smooth asphalt surfaces
• Perform breakdown, intermediate, and finish rolling as required by project specs
• Maintain proper rolling patterns, speed, and vibration settings
• Monitor mat temperature and density to ensure quality compaction
• Work closely with paver operator and crew to maintain consistent paving flow
• Identify and correct surface imperfections (ridges, lines, soft spots)
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all safety protocols and jobsite procedures
• Assist with general labor tasks when needed
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

• 2+ years experience operating finish rollers on asphalt paving projects
• Strong understanding of compaction techniques, densities, and rolling patterns
• Ability to read jobsite conditions and adjust rolling methods accordingly
• Experience working with paving crews and heavy equipment operations
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and daily inspection requirements
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA and company standards
• Ability to work in fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environments
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
