As the Customer Service Representative, you will process customer orders, provide sales support, and deliver outstanding service to our customers ensuring the best possible customer experience.
Your Top Accountabilities in the Role- Process and enter customer orders using the company’s order processing system, timely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Provide ongoing sales support to customers in person, by phone, or other means, ensuring above-average communication to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Process and evaluate special transfer or restock requests, including exceptions or credit requests, consulting with the manager and following proper procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members, departments, or branches to ensure a consistent flow of communication and knowledge across all areas.
- Stay up to date on new, discontinued, back-ordered, or out-of-stock products to ensure appropriate communication with the customer.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
2+ years of prior experience in retail sales within a professional environment with front-facing customer interaction; product training provided. Prior work experience with stone, granite, or slabs is a plus. - Functional
Skills:
Exceptional customer service, ability to provide individualized service, self-starter who proactively finds solutions, ability to multi-task across multiple customer interactions, strong attention to detail, and basic math skills for pricing and discounts. Ability to interpret written technical instructions and diagrams with multiple variables. - Certifications:
Forklift certification as needed per location. - Technology:
Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment with solid data entry skills. - Language:
Good written and excellent verbal communication skills (in person or by telephone) to work with customers and all levels of the organization. - Core Values & Behaviors:

Flexible hours with overtime, including Saturdays (up to 45-48 hours per week) - Travel:
None - Work Environment:
Moderate noise level; potential exposure to outdoor weather conditions and materials handling equipment, including forklift; exposure to cleaning and sealing chemicals for tile and stone. - Physical Requirements:
Frequently use hands to finger, handle and feel; stand; talk and hear. Regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
