This is a 300-bed medical center providing comprehensive healthcare services to the Tucson community. The facility features modern medical technology and a dedicated gastroenterology department with state-of-the-art endoscopy equipment, ensuring optimal patient care and professional practice opportunities.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Regular schedule Monday-Friday from 8am-noon performing 5-10 procedures daily in the hospital setting

• No clinic time expected

• Call responsibilities following onsite hospital time

• Patient volume ranges from 10-20 encounters per shift

• Must have active Arizona license and DEA with a clear record

• Board certification eligible (minimum requirement)

• Required certifications include ACLS and BLS

• Procedures include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices

• Perform small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy

• Experience with flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy required

• Must be proficient in colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision

• PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) experience required

• ERCP diagnostic and therapeutic skills preferred

• Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube preferred

• Next day credentialing timeframe available

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid Travel and Lodging.
