Position for the academic year in the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Arizona. The department emphasizes artificial intelligence, analytics, cybersecurity, and healthcare.
Founded in 1974, the MIS Department is a pioneer in Information Systems research and education. It has been ranked in the top 5 in the field for over 30 years, and its faculty collectively secured over $200M in funded research projects and successful technology transfer initiatives.
Under the Eller College of Management, the department offers undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs. More than 5,000 students have graduated, including 250 PhDs. The undergraduate program is ranked #4 and the MS program #3 by U.S. News & World Report.

Duties & Responsibilities- Actively contribute to the intellectual environment through research, teaching, and service.
- Conduct research leading to high‑quality publications, supporting strong extramural funding.
- Teach courses at graduate and undergraduate levels, including traditional and online classrooms.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
- Participate in outreach and contribute to departmental, college, and university service.
- PhD in Management Information Systems or related field.
- An active research agenda with a record of research excellence evidenced by publications in top academic journals.
- Excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels as demonstrated by teaching evaluations.
- Experience teaching in online graduate or undergraduate programs, MBA, executive education programs, and/or doctoral education.
- Evidence of outstanding research and teaching background in artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding.
Tenured (T)
Compensation$210,000 – $350,000 salary (full‑time equivalent)
