Term of Employment: Part-time as needed, up to 19.5 hours per week, not benefits eligible.

Pay Range: $22.00 per hour.

Hours: Work hours include some evenings and Saturdays.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.

The Welding Skills Instructor assists in preparing instructions and materials used during class activities, demonstrations, and skills practice. The instructor must adhere to Pima County JTED policies, procedures, and dress code.

• Assist the instructor in the lab, set up laboratory equipment, and ensure supplies are stocked and inventory is monitored.
• Work closely with the instructor and students during class activities, monitor and assist students with skills, and read all instructor guidelines prior to lessons.
• Set up classroom equipment, copy forms, and assist with paperwork and CTSO activities. Attend field trips as a chaperone if needed.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding training certifications (AWS, NCCER, OSHA).
• Proficiency in construction skills, operation of welding equipment, and knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office.
• Proof of MMR immunization (unless born before 1957), negative TB test within the last year, valid IVP fingerprint clearance, and valid Arizona Driver License.

• Effective communication in English, internet research skills, and experience with high-volume copy machines.
