DEFINITION
:
Under general supervision, develops and implements a curriculum program consistent with District educational goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Observe and monitor student behavior in various settings and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Plan, develop and evaluate daily lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Use classroom management techniques and positive reinforcement to maximize learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with instructional team members and specialists to support student learning.
- Communicate progress and instructional methods to parents and provide school activities information.
- Order classroom supplies and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
- Valid Arizona Elementary 1-8 Teaching Certificate.
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education or experience that meets the minimum qualifications and State certification requirements will be accepted.
