Are you a passionate dance instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced substitute TAP teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at Music & Dance Academy
. Our growing studio in Tucson, AZ focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because M&DA is about More Than Just Great Dancing!®

Substitute teachers will be contacted when there is a deficit in a main teacher's schedule but consistency is appreciated by both students and school staff, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Opportunities to build a position on our regular teaching staff are possible once a substitute has built a consistent relationship with the studio and its dancers.

Responsibilities
  • Instructing students in tap techniques across various skill levels, beginner through advanced (ages 4-15).
  • Strong background in tap dance.
  • Implementing lesson plans created by the regular instructor.
  • Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit traits of dependability, professionalism, punctuality, enthusiasm, friendliness, patience, and leadership.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the art of teaching dance.
  • Post-secondary dance training experience such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus).
