Location:
Tucson, AZ (In-Person) Pay: $18–$22/hour (based on experience and additional responsibilities)
Schedule:
Afternoons/Evenings + weekends (Saturdays) Job Type: Part-Time
School of Rock Tucson is hiring a Part-Time Guitar Instructor to teach students in a fun, performance-based music program. If you love guitar, enjoy mentoring kids and teens, and want to be part of a positive team culture, we’d love to connect.
ResponsibilitiesTeach private guitar lessons (beginner–intermediate; advanced a plus)
Help students learn real rock songs and build strong technique
Prepare students for performances and live shows
Track progress and communicate with parents/staff
Support rehearsals, camps, or workshops (as available/needed)
QualificationsStrong guitar skills (rhythm + lead)
Teaching experience preferred (private lessons, group instruction, coaching, etc.)
Comfortable working with children/teens
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Performance experience is a plus
Multi-instrument ability is a bonus (bass/keys/vocals)
Schedule DetailsMost teaching happens 2:00pm–8:00pm on weekdays and 9am-4pm on Saturdays
Weekend availability is a plus
Typical schedule:
10–25 hours/week, based on enrollment and availability
