Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor, Computer Science (T/TE)

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in all areas and at all ranks.

Position Highlights:

• Department of Computer Science has a long history of research accomplishments, influential software distribution, and substantial external funding.
• The department currently has 18 tenure-track faculty and 13 teaching faculty.
• Offers three undergraduate degrees (B.S. and B.A in Computer Science and B.S. in Artificial Intelligence) as well as two graduate degrees (M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science).
• Current research areas include algorithms, bioinformatics, computational geometry, data management, human-computer interaction, machine learning, natural language processing, networks, programming languages, security, computer vision, and visualization.
• The Computer Science department is in the College of Science, which includes other highly ranked departments such as Astronomy and Geosciences, with which Computer Science faculty actively collaborate.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a top-quality research program.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses.
• Perform service to the department, field, and wider community.
• Conduct and maintain an active research program in Computer Science.
• Contribute to the department's research accomplishments and pursue opportunities for external research funding.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Collaborate with faculty within the Department of Computer Science on research initiatives.
• Participate in interdisciplinary research collaborations with faculty across the College of Science.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field by the position start date.
