The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer – SETC Effectors. SETC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and test to shape innovative solutions for our customers. Join our organization and experience the Systems V engineering life cycle while interfacing with a variety of engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, chief engineers, chief technologists, the customer, and so many more to ensure we design, integrate, test and strengthen our systems to work the first time and every time for our warfighters!
** This role is 100% on-site at our Tucson, AZ campus
**** What You Will Do
*** Core Systems Engineering:
Update, develop, maintain, and improve requirements, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces
* Lead Testing Efforts:
Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing
* Troubleshoot and Analyze:
Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging
* Drive Performance:
Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues
* Integrate Systems:
Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact
* Decision analysis & Resolution:
Conduct trade studies and present results to stakeholders
* Collaborate and Lead:
Work with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality
* Document and Communicate:
Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
* Perform Data Analysis:
Conduct statistical and numerical analysis test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements
* Present Findings:
Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers
* Support Missions:
Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations
** Qualifications You Must Have
*** Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
* Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test
* Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in a STEM field
