Senior Environmental Test Engineer – Raytheon

Location:

Tucson, AZ – Onsite – 4 week application window.

Raytheon – Senior Environmental Test Engineer – responsible for executing, designing, and analyzing environmental tests to support product qualification, production acceptance, flight test clearance, engineering evaluations, and failure investigations.

• Consult with internal program customers to verify testing meets intended requirements.
• Write test plans, procedures, schedules, and budgets; review plans written by others.
• Oversee and personally conduct environmental testing with vibration and structural test fixtures.
• Implement engineering best practices to ensure testing accuracy, schedule, and budget.
• Analyze real‑time and post‑test data to validate requirements.
• Communicate testing status with ET leadership and customers.
• Design, model, and analyze vibration and structural test fixtures using CREO Parameteric and Ansys Workbench.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with hand tools, torque wrenches, and diagnostic equipment.
• 2+ years of technical writing in test planning, analysis, or reporting.
• 2+ years with environmental test vibration shaker systems or instrumentation and data acquisition (DeWIT, LabVIEW, etc.).
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

• Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering major.
• Experience with commercial environmental test equipment and thermal chambers.
• Experience with vibration control systems/software and solid modeling.
• Current DoD Secret or TS/SSBI clearance.
