WhatYou Will Do
- You will provide mechanical engineering support for a specialty CAS, including integration and testing of the CAS power supply. This may include detailed mechanical design, earned value management, test design and execution, and systems engineering.
- You will flex responsibilities based on the current needs of the organization and your skill sets.
- At this grade level, you will work autonomously with limited oversight, have advanced knowledge of the control mechanism development domain, and coach and review lower‑level professionals.
- Opportunities for hands‑on hardware work in a dedicated lab space at our Huntsville and Tucson facilities.
- Exposure to engineering builds, hardware integration, tuning, and verification.

- Degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, unless prohibited by local laws.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Experience in mechanical mechanism design or flight control systems for aerospace applications.
- Aerospace control systems experience, including verification and characterization tests.
- Collaboration with major subtier suppliers to achieve compliant design and test deliverables.
- Structured problem‑solving experience such as Fault Trees or fishbone diagrams.
- Creo modeling, Windchill/cPDM, peer review, change board process, and supplier management.
- Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink data analysis.
- Hardware integration experience.
- Systems engineering design and development.
- Experience with dSPACE Real‑time test systems.
- Ability to estimate project/task effort.
- Cross‑collaboration with geographically distributed teams.
- Earned Value Project Management certifications.
- Excellent written and oral communication for technical, non‑technical, and management audiences.
