Electrical Engineer- Secret Clearance

Solidus is hiring an Electrical Engineer for an onsite role based in Tucson, AZ.

This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

• Make a quick assessment of a problem, identify additional information required, understand the resources available, compare the urgency of the issue to other failures/issues, and create a path for troubleshooting or resolution.
• Communicate the plan to a cross‑functional team with diverse backgrounds.
• Drive updates and status of this plan along the way.
• Resolve production factory and/or supplier issues, troubleshoot, maintain technical data packages including creation of change documentation using cPDM, present change packages in Review Board/Change Board, take ownership and drive issues to completion by coordinating team members and resources.
• Participate in peer reviews of other engineers from Engineering and Operations groups.
• Troubleshoot failures using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, programmable power supplies, spectrum/network analyzers, and related tools.
• Analyze defect/yield data and implement process improvements to reduce recurring failures.
• Perform other general electrical engineering tasks relating to production support.

• US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation and pass a polygraph exam.

• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Experience with digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed signal testing and debugging of complex circuit card assemblies and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Experience in root‑cause corrective action investigations.
• Proven experience in manufacturing/test support of electronic assemblies.
• Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, etc.
• Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs.
• Cultural fit in a collaborative team environment.

• Prior production support engineering experience.
• Electrical engineering design experience of CCA, EO, RF, seeker/sensor, or electronic subsystems; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test, and production/supplier/sub‑tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, PCB fabrication, and circuit card assembly processes.
• Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with subsystem integration and test, post‑flight analysis, problem investigation, statistical process control (SPC) methods for production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing engineering change notices.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently and with a small technical team; providing technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical reports, and proposal support.

Full benefits: $94,000 to $116,000 annually. Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision):
Up to $125,000 annually.
