Systems Engineer (DoD Clearance Required)
Location:
Tucson, AZ. Salary: $120,000 – $165,000 annually.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. An active Secret Clearance is preferred.
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and pass a polygraph exam.
- Utilize knowledge of models, simulations, test beds, prototypes, hardware integration, hardware manufacturing, warfighter (User) methodologies, embedded test protocols, and full‑scale Engineering Development Models (EDMs) to ensure comprehensive lifecycle testing that is both robust and affordable.
- Engage broadly with customers, including Department of Defense (DoD) contract work.
- Understand and define specialized capital investment needs.
- Maintain an intense focus on customer affordability using effective cost‑measurement techniques.
- Drive improvements in product affordability through increased built‑in‑test capabilities and decreased lifecycle cost.
- Mentor and guide the team through new project implementation at the Integrated Product Team Lead level for a Major Development Acquisition Program (MDAP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Four years of directly related engineering experience, or a STEM master’s degree with two years of experience.
- Systems engineering experience in test requirements development, test planning, test techniques, test methodologies, test requirements documents, embedded functional test, integration, verification, and validation for test.
- Past experience demonstrating a systems‑engineering approach for all test‑related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of Systems Engineer standard views such as Block Diagram Definitions, Context Diagrams, Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, and Flow Diagrams.
- Knowledge of Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
- Experience with development, environmental, qualification, production, and manufacturing operations testing.
- Experience in developing, decomposing, and managing systems requirements across a product lifecycle, such as design and transition to production.
- Cultural fit within a collaborative team environment.
Full benefits: $113,000 to $142,000 annually.
