Sr. Infrastructure Systems Engineer
Job Description:
Turner Staffing Group is partnered with a mining company in Arizona that is looking for a Sr. Infrastructure Systems Engineer to maintain, optimize, and ensure the availability of the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes servers, storage systems, and cloud services. The Sr. Infrastructure Systems Engineer will work under the guidance of the IT Manager to support business operations by ensuring reliable and secure infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management: Maintain/manage physical & virtual servers, oversee storage systems, and implement/manage cloud services.
System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor performance, implement improvements, and perform system updates/patches.
Security Management: Implement security measures, conduct audits, and perform vulnerability assessments.
Disaster Recovery: Develop/maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure backups/recovery processes are tested.
Support & Troubleshooting: Provide second-level support and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of server & storage systems.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
Proficiency in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring & management tools.
Knowledge of network protocols/services.
Problem-solving & troubleshooting expertise.
Experience with security best practices & compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Strong documentation & communication skills.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Preferred certifications:
Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Server+.
Experience:
5–7 years in IT infrastructure management.
Proven experience with servers, storage, cloud services, and virtualization.
Strong background in IT security measures.
