Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and licensed A&P Technician to join our client’s maintenance team in Tucson, AZ. This role is contract-to-hire, offering a pathway to permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in corporate or commercial aircraft maintenance
, proven hands‑on experience with fixed‑wing, rotary, or military aircraft, and the ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings. This position requires a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license (or Airframe license), flexibility to work 12‑hour shifts, and the capability to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in an MRO or heavy maintenance environment.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on corporate and regional aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain airframe, power plant, and related systems.
- Interpret and apply mechanical engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance data accurately.
- Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and quality protocols in the hangar and on the line.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure aircraft readiness and on‑time performance.
- Provide and maintain a personal set of tools to support day‑to‑day work.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with fixed‑wing, rotary, or military aircraft (corporate aircraft experience preferred).
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply mechanical engineering drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Must own and maintain a personal set of tools.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts
, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior experience in a corporate aviation environment
. - Familiarity with multiple aircraft models and their unique maintenance requirements.
- Background in high‑volume MRO or depot‑level military maintenance.
