We are seeking an Onsite Program Quality Engineer (PQE) to serve within the NSMS Quality team. The PQE will support production contracts ensuring that program goals are accomplished while staying compliant to AS9100 requirements. The successful candidate of Quality and Mission Assurance (QMA) Professionals will help safeguard the effective integration and implementation of RTX processes and procedures within the constraints of Raytheon Command Media.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate data to drive process improvements. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as the role requires close interaction with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance throughout the production lifecycle. Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA), and quality management systems is highly desirable, along with a proactive mindset to address problems and optimize production outcomes.
This position is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.
- Drive integration and implementation of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to quality and customer requirements.
- Serve as a program quality liaison across customer organizations, as well as relevant factories and engineering labs for quality issues and concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with program management to define and implement quality improvement strategies.
- Support supplier quality and supplier engineering efforts to help ensure compliance.
- Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned. This includes but is not limited to:
Peer reviews, Engineering Review/Change Control Board (ERB/CCB) and/or Design reviews. - Ensure all qualification hardware is appropriately documented in the quality history records and aligns to quality and customer requirements.
- Interpret command media in compliance to work being performed.
- Generate Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) metrics to identify areas for program improvement.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Working experience with Quality Management Systems, to include ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102.
- Working experience overseeing teams in failure and RCA, corrective and preventative actions.
- Working experience interpreting technical drawings.
- Working experience with technical data package review (TDP) and document repository.

- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or Program Management Certification.
- Experience with Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) or another Continuous Improvement Program.
- Working experience using resources such as 5S, RCA, Process Mapping/Analysis, Lean Six Sigma (6
Sigma). - Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145 and utilizing resources such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Key Characteristics, DFMEA, PFMEA, and/or Control Plans.
