Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical Computer Aided Designer (eCAD) – 100% Onsite in Tucson, AZ
Work closely with circuit design engineers and engineers of all disciplines to implement, draw, and layout printed wiring boards using tools such as Mentor Xpedition and Blue Print. Responsible for PCB designs from conception to manufacturing, including creation of PCB, CCA, and schematic drawings for suppliers. Perform schematic capture, component placement, routing of traces, and generation of Gerber/ODB++ files. Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and Down Stream Technologies Blue Print.
Design rigid, flex, and rigid‑flex assemblies. Handle full designs, re‑spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside the discipline. Interface daily with electrical, mechanical, components, test, and producibility engineering to capture overall design requirements for cost, cycle time, and producibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of five (5) years experience with the electrical engineering design process
- Experience with PCB or CCA manufacturing principles that affect circuitry and component layout
- Experience with layout of Rigid, Flex, or Rigid‑Flex boards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance – DoD Secret
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for clearance)
- Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) experience
- Technical PCB design skills using Siemens design toolset including Xpedition Layout tool suite
- Experience with Blue Print to create complex PCB and CCA drawings
- Experience with schematic capture, placement, routing, auto‑router, constraint manager, and library tools
- Export manufacturing data in Gerber and ODB++ formats
- Use of Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rule sets, or other Design Rule Checking software
- Experience with RF circuitry, board layout, and filter knowledge
• Salary range: $82,000 – $164,000 USD
