System Safety Engineer Security Clearance

Position: System Safety Engineer with Security Clearance
At Volt, our greatest strength is our people Volt is immediately hiring for “System Safety Engineer” in “Tucson, AZ”. You will do:
Lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
Perform MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses (or customer-approved equivalents)
Coordinate with customer safety representatives to obtain safety approval from the appropriate Safety Review Board authorities
Work across all integrated product teams to identify hazards and implement effective risk controls
Collaborate with Program Management and government authorities from program startup through production, demilitarization, and disposal This is a 12 month with possible extension opportunity.

Clearance Required:

Secret Qualification Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology
Minimum 5 years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering experience

Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Safety Engineering roles Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with weapon combat systems

Experience with DoD System Safety Programs

Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and proposal development
Strong problem-solving skills using available resources and research material
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to lead a safety program and direct supporting safety personnel Additional Job Details:
Pay Rate:

- $60/hr.

-$70/hr.
