Job SummaryJoin Caterpillar’s dynamic engineering team in Tucson, AZ as a Senior Test & Validation Engineer for our Large Mining Trucks – Ultra Class product line. In this role, you will lead the development and execution of advanced testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues, implement innovative technologies, and optimize testing procedures for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- Develop and improve testing, validation, and development processes for new and existing products.
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues to ensure product readiness and quality.
- Implement advanced technologies such as automation, robotics, and CAM software into testing workflows.
- Develop and execute test procedures to maximize reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop proactive reliability metrics for NPI and NTI programs and ensure reliability and durability goals are communicated to system and component teams.
- Monitor and analyze test results, machine capabilities, and process performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design acceptance and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of testing and validation methodologies.
- Experience with mechanical or electrical systems in heavy equipment or similar industries.
- Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot complex engineering problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Experience in product development and New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Strong project management skills in engineering environments.
