Job OverviewOur client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Drainage Engineer to join a dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will develop and implement comprehensive drainage systems, stormwater management plans, and flood control measures, using advanced modeling software including FLO‑2D.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and implement comprehensive drainage systems, stormwater management plans, and flood control measures.
- Conduct detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and studies.
- Utilize FLO‑2D or equivalent software for designing and modeling drainage systems.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Ensure all project designs comply with industry standards, local and national regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in drainage engineering and stormwater management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
Master’s Degree preferred. - Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drainage engineering, stormwater management, or related fields.
- Proficiency in using FLO‑2D or equivalent drainage design and modeling software.
- Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and civil engineering principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
