The RF Products Team at Raytheon seeks an experienced engineer to lead mechanical design and packaging of RF hardware. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, developing technology roadmaps, and providing mentorship.
Responsibilities- Lead mechanical design activities for RF hardware (antennas, RF circuit card assemblies, radomes, test equipment).
- Guide and mentor team members, delegating tasks and providing technical oversight.
- Conduct trade studies and develop plans to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
- Communicate status on complex issues and influence strategic plans across teams and customers.
- Fill gaps and contribute to business unit success as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical product design and leadership.
- Proficient with 3‑D CAD software.
- Experience creating Technical Data Packages (TDPs) with GD&T.
- Experience designing RF mechanical products (circuit card assemblies, antennas, radomes, etc.).
- Design experience with RF-specific products such as antennas or missile bodies.
- Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Experience in roles such as Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) or Integrated Product Team Lead.
- Supplier management for RF products.
- Proficiency in Creo Simulate, ANSYS Workbench, or similar for structural and thermal analysis.
- Strong communication, failure investigation, root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of RF PCB material stacks, CCA layout, one‑dimensional tolerance analysis.
- Experience developing technical proposals, engineering estimates, or white papers.
- Requirements verification test planning and execution experience.
Base salary range: $124,000 – $250,000 USD. Relocation assistance offered for eligible candidates. Eligible for benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible work schedules, etc. Annual incentive compensation possible.
Security ClearanceCandidate will need to maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Security‑clearance process managed by DCSA CAS.
