You will be a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Drainage Engineer on our dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will develop and implement comprehensive drainage systems, stormwater management plans, and flood control measures. This role requires a deep understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and civil engineering principles, with strong proficiency in FLO‑2D or equivalent modeling software. You will work on diverse projects, providing innovative solutions to complex drainage and water management challenges.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive drainage systems, stormwater management plans, and flood control measures.
- Conduct detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and studies.
- Utilize FLO‑2D or equivalent software for designing and modeling drainage systems.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Ensure all project designs comply with industry standards, local and national regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in drainage engineering and stormwater management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drainage engineering, stormwater management, or related fields.
- Proficiency in using FLO‑2D or equivalent drainage design and modeling software.
- Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and civil engineering principles.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
