Secret At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling - to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
The Processing, Guidance & Control (PG&C) Center, within the Systems Engineering Directorate, consists of Signal Processing, Guidance, Navigation and Control as well as Modeling, Simulation Analysis (MSA) disciplines. PG&C delivers key technologies to our effector programs portfolio. The Guidance, Navigation, and Control teams provide aerodynamic and autopilot designs, optimized system motion designs, and state estimation to facilitate mission guidance goals.
The Signal Processing teams extract and exploit signals from both active and passive sensors to be used for acquiring, detecting, tracking, and classifying objects of interest. The MSA teams are responsible for product-level simulations that help us design, develop, verify, and validate our products and capabilities. Our simulations model the components and subsystems that make up our designs, and the world our products interact with.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Intern will work within a multi-discipline team (e.g. Guidance, Navigation, and Control, Signal Processing, Mechanical Design) to design and develop differing levels of fidelity simulation models which represent the components of a system. This includes the ability to read, debug, edit and create computer programming code to enhance simulation models, creating and executing unit tests on the models to verify functionality, documenting the design and test results, and integrating with other component models in a complex system simulation environment.
The MSA Intern will support simulations in a high-performance computing environment, which can include the use of Graphics Processing Units, to support missile system design/trade studies, performance assessment, and system test. This Engineer will work within a team to develop analysis of the data for the specific task as well as provide insight and understanding of the system performance, recognizing and troubleshooting any anomalies observed in the simulation results The MSA Intern will support the solutions provided to meet their defined requirements and function as needed through rigorous verification and validation.
This activity utilizes data from multiple sources up to and including system level flight testing. This position is an onsite role.
Please note:
We are not seeking engineers with an AutoCAD or 3-D modeling background or network modeling from an IT perspective. Qualifications You Must Have:
