As a Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer (Civil) within our Land Development team in our Tucson, AZ office, you will utilize your expertise and technical abilities to collaborate and contribute to the planning and design activities for a broad range of project assignments dealing with site development, roadway, traffic, hydrology & hydraulics, utilities and more for public, private and institutional clients, while working in a team‑orientated setting and interacting with clients.

Responsibility Highlights for our Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer (Civil)- Site/Land Development- Be responsible for organizing and executing the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of project assignments requiring an extensive knowledge of site development
- Represents Psomas and client to agencies and contractors
- Lead design efforts for all aspects of land development engineering, which may include research and analysis, hydraulics, hydrology, storm/sewer drainage, street design, and grading
- Design utilizing Civil3D for public, private, and institutional projects
- Work with fellow team members and supervisors to provide all necessary design, coordination, and follow‑up work to ensure agency requirements and quality standards are met
- Prepare plans and profiles, compiling research and development of technical reports, calculations, cost/quantity estimates, and specifications in order to provide clear, traceable, and coordinated interpretation of the design/drawings for construction
- Participate in site visits, client meetings, and QA/QC
- Assist and lead efforts for agency approvals and be familiar with local regulatory requirements and procedures
- Possess a thorough understanding of concepts of schedule, budget, and scope of services
- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff and coordinate with them for design efforts
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain in Arizona
- 5 years' civil engineering experience with private development, facilities, infrastructure and public works design
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil design with knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD
- Strong technical knowledge with proven experience in preparing technical reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, and computations
- Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) ENV SP credential or ability to obtain credential within 6 months of hire date

- A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $95K - $135K/salary depending on experience. Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates.
