Raytheon's Hardware Electrical Engineering Team is looking for junior engineers who have electronics knowledge to support the design and test of electronic products and systems.

Our bread and butter are all things “circuit cards”, and we want you to help us blaze the path! We’re growing fast and we want you to grow with us! We’re expanding our engineering organization dramatically to meet exciting customer demand, and we’re actively looking for engineers who bring strong foundational skills and a passion for solving hard problems. • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry.
• This circuitry will dominantly involve 3 phase inverter design, sensor interfacing and controller circuits.
• Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.
• Hands on drafting & designing at a circuit card level.
• Help to see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.
• Drive to meet schedule concerns.
• Define schedules for circuit level tasking.
• Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate support from senior engineers.
• Assist in layer stackup definition.

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following motor types is a plus:
  Brushed, BLDC or PMSM.
• Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools.
• Experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
• Experience working in a lab setting and using lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency generators, power supplies and/or Data Acquisition Systems.
• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A self-starter, a quick learner, be able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills.
• Should have an appreciation for how successful teams are structured.
• Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.
• Experience in any one of the following:
  Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs.
• Simulators such as SIMPLIS or SABER, or Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx.
• Military specifications.
• Design considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW.
• Three-phase power systems, power factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.
• Program management tools such as Earned Value.
