Medical Screener, Phlebotomist – Gold Links Rd

Medical Screener, Phlebotomist – Gold Links Rd. Location at Bio Life Plasma Services. This role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and involves screening donors and performing phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and center safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors, record donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for ongoing process improvement and initiate changes to center procedures per company-approved guidelines.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to support donors.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
• Because of potential exposure to blood borne pathogens (risk level
  1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
• 1 or more years of experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful

Starting hourly wage: $16.00. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
