The Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, employees, and designated hospital areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with physicians on drug and dosing decisions
- Educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medications
- Participating in medication safety initiatives
- Managing patient profiles and avoiding/reporting adverse drug reactions
- Mixing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements
- Ensuring narcotic accountability
- Mid-Senior level
