Overview
We are looking for a GI Tech to join the Arizona Digestive Institute, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc (USPI), located in Tucson, Arizona. The Arizona Digestive Institute is a Medicare-certified, Joint Commission–accredited surgery center that specializes in outpatient digestive procedures.
ResponsibilitiesThe GI Technician/Endoscopy works under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. They collaborate with the physician, registered nurse, and GI technician in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. In addition, the GI technician is responsible for:
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments.
- Managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials.
- Handling various clerical tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Lab.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred.
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
